WELCOME MR FANIE VERMAAK: DIRECTOR OF HPR RUGBY
We are fortunate to welcome Mr Fanie Vermaak aboard as Director of HPR rugby.
Interesting facts about Mr Vermaak: He is a graduate of Piet Retief High School. He studied law and served as magistrate for 15 years before early retirement.
For an astonishing period of forty years, Mr Vermaak has been closely involved in rugby administration. He brings to the table his rugby experience and knowledge as Zululand Executive Management, Lowveld president as well as president of the Pumas.
He was the president of the Bulls Franchise for two years and served on the Bulls Executive Board for five years. Mr Vermaak was also a member of the SA Rugby Executive Management for five years. In addition, he was elected as SA Rugby Director for five years.
Mr Vermaak has the following vision for HPR: To form part of a group of outstanding rugby coaches by whom players’ skills are developed to such a level that they can perform optimally under pressure. We are excited to see which further milestones our rugby can achieve.
